Mick and Prue's Story
After meeting in 2011 Mick and Prue travelled around Australia , a journey taking in excess of 3 years.
Whilst travelling they gained some experience in accommodation hospitality whilst managing and working in Caravan Parks.
After the travels they settled in Victoria’s High Country where they resided for the next ten years. Prue resumed her nursing career and both wanting to continue in providing accommodation and interaction with travellers they converted a section of their home to an Airbnb and continued to host guests.
In 2022 the opportunity to purchase The Crays arose and Mick and Prue saw an opportunity for a change of career and a new challenge and made the decision to sell up and relocate.
Since purchasing The Crays they have put their own touch on the Property and have worked hard to repaint and redecorate, lounge suites and mattresses have been replaced , reverse cycle air-conditioning installed and the gardens have had a make over.
They aim to make The Crays one of the preferred accommodation venues in Strahan. The Crays units are more spacious and more comfortable than a motel room with cooking facilities enabling guests to self cater if desired.
The location is perfect, only a short 5 minute walk to the town and wharf for cruise departures and located directly opposite the renowned Risby Cove restaurant.
